Masters degree in International Law (with focus on Environmental International Law) from
the Law Faculty of the University of São Paulo (2005).
Specialization degree in Civil Process Law by Getúlio Vargas Foundation (GVlaw) (2009).
Specialization degree in Environmental Law from Public Health and Law Faculties of the
University of São Paulo (2001).
Also attended courses on Environmental Protection at the University of Konstanz, Germany
(1989), Public and Private International Law at the Hague Academy of International Law, in
the Netherlands (1995), and Environmental Community Law at King’s College – University
of London, United Kingdom (1998).
Founder and coordinator of the Environmental Commission (currently named Bioeconomy
Commission) of the France-Brazil Chamber of Commerce (since 2002). Elected member of
the Board of Directors of the France-Brazil Chamber of Commerce (since 2011).
Member of the ILA – International Law Association (since 1997).
Member of the AASP – Association of the Lawyers of São Paulo.
Co-founder and first elected president of RIELA – Red Interamericana de Especialistas en
Legislación Ambiental (the Inter-American Network of Environmental Law Specialists)

Member of the Superior Board of the Environment of Federation of Industries of the State of
São Paulo – COSEMA/FIESP (2017-2021).
Coordinator and professor of Environmental Law at the post-graduation coursed of Getúlio
Vargas Foundation (GVlaw) (2002-2012).
Member of the Environmental Commission of the São Paulo State Section of the Brazilian
Bar Association, acting as the head of the Coordination on Contaminated Sites and
Agrichemicals (since 2022). Representative of the São Paulo State Section of the Brazilian
Bar Association in the State Commission for Studies and Prevention of Accidents in the Road
Transportation of Hazardous Products (since 2022).
Large experience (more than twenty-five years) in legal assistance to large companies in the
performance of environmental audits (due diligence), with the development of environmental
compliance programs and in mergers and acquisitions and in financial and real estate
transactions, especially in the energy, mining and industrial sectors. Recognized experience
in complex litigation involving chemical safety, contaminated sites, air emissions, water resources management, recovery of degraded areas, specially protected areas, waste
management and environmental licensing.
Practice in the legal structuring of projects involving the payment for environmental services
and certified emission reductions.
